Hello to Ottawa's most fabulous and fashion forward brides! We are so happy to have opened Ottawa's FIRST chic boutique full of exciting exclusive North American designers... all in the name of giving Ottawa Bride's more stylish choices for their big day. Here's what you've missed over the last month while our site, facebook page and blog were being set up!

The more glamorous side of our opening included the two soiree evenings we held here in early November. The first was an industry experts night where Stacey- principal planner of Marry Me Productions and partner in The White Dress (just in case you didn't know!) and I invited our circle of the most notorious wedding industry professionals to come and have the first look at the store.
The second shindig was thrown for our closest family and friends, who held our hands throughout the journey of creating The White Dress. Over 200 of our favorite people attended and many laughs were had. Luckily no cocktails ended up on our beautiful dresses.. Phew!
But aside from throwing posh party's at the store (perks of having an event planner as a partner) we have also gotten to work of course.. selling eight beautiful couture gowns in our first month to eight lovely brides headed down the isle in 2011 and we couldn't be more pleased! It seems like Ottawa was really waiting for the biggest names in bridal couture to arrive here!
It certainly seems the city is getting the word that The White Dress has opened in Little Italy. A big thanks to A-channel morning news for featuring the White Dress in a four part segment on location, The Ottawa Citizen for their article on Oct.23 about the opening of the boutique and Ottawa Magazine for featuring us in their December issue which hit stands yesterday (p.13). Here's us with Angie Poirier from A-channel and Karen Norris our gracious model, looking stunning in Vera Wang creations.
Next up for The White Dress is bridal show season (and holiday season of course... stay tuned for our holiday promo, hint hint). We will see you at the Westin for the Ottawa Wedding Palace Bridal Show Jan. 15&16th and at Lago for Ottawa's first exclusive Boutique Bridal Event 'ENGAGE' (hosted by the brilliant Stacey Price of Marry Me, of course!) Wednesday Feb. 2nd.
So now you are all caught up on our first month at The White Dress! It's flown by and we can't wait to see what December has in store for us.. of course more beautiful women looking to embody their wedding gown dream (as Vera Wang would say)!
Now back to my favorite thing... the little details. Next on the list, holiday inspired windows... I'm thinking merlot sashes and glittering snowflakes. xx J
